Based in the homonymous city in the heart of Kent, South East England, Tunbridge Wells Royals VC (TW Royals) is a professional Volleyball Club competing in the Kent Superleague, where it featured uninterruptedly as one of the main protagonists since 2003.

The Club's social scene is fun and thriving, enriched by a loyal fanbase and featuring players of different nationalities and backgrounds.

Founded in 1996, the Club's first participation in competitive Volleyball was in the amateur Kent Second Division where, in the 1996-97 debut season, finished fourth place.

The Club's competitive spirit and aspiration to compete at higher levels paid off with the promotion to the Kent First Division two years later, where the Royals defeated Folkestone 3-0 and 3-2 in a thrilling 2-leg Playoff Final.

The real turn of events happened in the summer of 2000, when Albert Brown, local businessman and Volleyball aficionado, acquired the Royals with the plan of turning the Club fully professional.

With him, well-respected top flight coach Rob Fisher and players such as David Selek and Martin Groban joined the ambitious project, contributing to the Club's ever growing status.

The Royals finally reached the top-tier Kentish division in 2003 and in the 2005-06 season enjoyed the first taste of real success by winning their first ever professional league title, a feat that they'll manage to repeat again 4 more times, respectively in 2007, 2011, and later in 2017 and 2018 under coach Ben Ashby's tenure.

The Royals also won the Invicta Cup in 3 occasions (2008, 2011, 2013), 2 times Kentish Supercup winners (2007, 2011) and more recently the Inter-County Throphy in 2018.
